In the best of times we find ways to enjoy, manage, and grow from challenging situations. As life becomes messier and messier, it can be overly taxing to our well-being to try and navigate life on our own. This is when a therapist can be helpful.
Therapy can help you learn new skills, see your situation from a different perspective and give you space to process past trauma(s) that may be hindering your innate ability to heal.
I would like to join you on your path, and work with you to find a better balance in the messiness of life or to help you clean up the mess a bit. I see individuals, couples, families and lead groups.
With me as your therapist, you are in charge. I recommend, guide, and elicit but I never take charge of your life. In fact, learning to come fully into your power and life is at the core of my healing style. You decide your goals and together we decide on your initial path of healing. We will assess your goals every now and again to see if you are still on the right path, and if not, change.
Rarely does life go in a straight line. Therapy with me is no different. Whatever course we plot out in the beginning can change depending on how you are progressing. It is important that therapy be effective and efficient. I don’t want to waste your time and I don’t want you to waste any time struggling with things that are no longer helping you.
Some aspects of my therapeutic approach are standard. Using several mind/body techniques, I will help you get in touch with the present moment. Until we are in the present moment it is impossible to make intentional choices. From your newly developed awareness and attuned instincts of yourself, I will help you make choices that will better help you meet your goals. We can go as deep, resolving past/current traumas, or remain present-focused in skill building and cognitive processing.
I am open to inquiries and consultations to see if wee are the right fit for each other. Please do not hesitate to call or email me.
