Asking for help is hard. Sometimes, it’s the most difficult thing we can imagine doing. The fear is real – fear of change, fear of judgment, fear of making things worse – it is strong, and can even be debilitating. When we are finally ready to ask for help, we want someone who can meet us, hear our stories, offer a helping hand, and help us find the relief we are searching for.
I became a therapist because I love people and I found great joy in helping others face and overcome their fears. I treat every individual as someone who deserves compassion, grace, and acceptance. I want everyone to experience the freedom that comes from taking control of our bodies, minds, and emotions, and I am relentless in helping them pursue their highest quality of life..
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have held several jobs in social services, which have prepared me to help people with a variety of backgrounds and issues. My most recent position equipped me with extensive knowledge and experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and I have been exceptionally pleased to see how utilizing this can lead to lifelong change for my clients. I am excited to continue this work with STLDBT and am happy to be a part of this amazing team. If you need help and are looking for someone who will “get it,” I would be honored to work with you and walk this journey with you.
A little more about me: I am married, have one “son” in his early twenties and one daughter who is a toddler. I am originally from St. Charles and currently reside in South City. I enjoy Doctor Who (and other nerdy things), exploring our amazing city (Go Cardinals!), and drinking craft beer around the fire with awesome people.
